Recycled Handbags – Made From PopTops

These fun and innovative handbags are made from reclaimed soda and beer pop tops by a Fair Trade artisan group in Mexico. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle is a phrase they take to heart in making these stylish, intriguing, eco-friendly purses.

The first recycled poptop purse (pictured above from the left) is approximately 9 inches long, 5 inches tall, 2 inches wide, and hangs 4 inches from metal handles. The bag’s black lining zips closed and has an inside zipper pocket.

The coin purse fashioned from reclaimed poptops is approximately 4 inches long, 3 inches tall, and 2 inches wide. The bag’s blue lining zips closed to secure your change. Makes a great, affordable, earth friendly gift!

Recycled Purses – Handcrafted From Tractor Inner Tubes

Luxurious, eco-chic purses made from discarded tractor tire inner tubes. Inner tubes are like fingerprints – the markings on the tire inner tube rubber are so vast in their design that no two bags are exactly alike.

Our source incorporates leather trim and sides to their rubber bags, keeping them lightweight and enabling the introduction of new colors and textures. In keeping with their eco-friendly beliefs, all leathers used are by-products, vegetable dyed and chrome free, and all bags are handcrafted using the highest quality hardware and materials available. The inner tubes are collected in VA, Ohio and GA, and undergo a rigorous but environmentally friendly, multi-day cleaning process. To date, they have recycled approximately 34 tons of inner tubes!

Another really neat feature is the interior lighting system of these purses. An LED light comes on when you open the bag so you can easily find the contents (how cool is that!) The lights last approx. 10 months then when they burn out the company will send you replacements for free.
